Please note this is a public, informational webinar, and not a formal Committee meeting.
This webinar will share important information and context around Tribal Nations in Oregon, how Tribes intersect with local planning, best practices for engaging with Tribes, including sovereignty and responsibility for government-to-government coordination, and cultural resources. It will also include an overview on how Tribal governments are engaged in CBEMP processes through Policy #18.
The goal of this webinar is to build a better understanding of the current communication and consultation processes, identify which approaches are working well, determine where communication could be strengthened, and explore opportunities to eliminate unnecessary duplication while still ensuring meaningful Tribal participation and consultation.
