Sea & Shore Solutions is a certified women-owned environmental consulting firm focused on creating and implementing innovative solutions to support meaningful coastal management and marine policy. Our team thrives in the space between science and application through management, policy, outreach, and technology solutions. We leverage expertise in natural sciences, GIS, policy, communications, and environmental management to support a diversity of ocean-minded organizations. Through a highly transparent and organized approach, S&S provides specialized operational capacity to clients, ensuring that priorities and timelines are efficiently met. Our deep experience in coastal and ocean fields allows us to offer efficient and applied approaches to help make connections, identify unique approaches, and develop lasting solutions. We approach each project with a dedication to innovation, utilizing new processes and technologies to push the boundaries and improve coastal and marine environments in new ways.

Adrian Laufer is a coastal & marine policy and management practitioner with a zest for collaboration and innovation. She has a demonstrated history of working with researchers and practitioners to address the complex problems that affect coastal and marine environments. She contributes applied skills in policy analysis, community engagement and outreach, social science research, geographic information systems (GIS), and group facilitation. She approaches each project with a systems-based lens, with a keen interest in the intersections between the natural environment, society, and governance.

Deanna Caracciolo is a coastal management practitioner skilled in policy analysis and implementation, science outreach and engagement, event management, group facilitation, organizational leadership, and environmental awareness. She brings strong leadership, transparency, and efficiency to any project. Deanna has extensive experience implementing federal consistency authority pursuant to the Coastal Zone Management Act, and is dedicated to efficient and transparent multi-stakeholder processes, smart natural resource policy, and science-based adaptive management.

Katy Bear Nalven is an ocean conservation researcher and practitioner who focuses on developing collaborative strategies for equitable conservation. These strategies support ecosystems, wildlife, and communities. With over a decade of experience in large and small non-profit organizations, academia, and tourism, Katy works to build partnerships, facilitate large-scale collaborative projects, initiate creative outreach, and bridge connections across disciplines and perspectives.

Katie Lizza is a marine resource management and policy practitioner with extensive experience working in the government sector and a background in ecology, fisheries, and coral reefs. She brings a passion for finding solutions to complex resource management issues and demonstrated experience in coordinating and collaborating across local, state, and federal agencies as well as with NGOs, resource users, and academic researchers to address issues facing our marine and coastal systems. She is particularly enthusiastic about using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to visualize and analyze scientific data, which allows her to contribute to data-driven and solutions-oriented recommendations related to resource management issues.

She is self-motivated, ambitious, and task-oriented, with 15 years of administrative experience in case management and legal support. At Sea & Shore Solutions, Emily supports executive functions such as contract development and execution, invoicing, calendar management, data entry, and social media management. Her time management, focus, and organizational skills are a great asset to the team!
