Aquatic Boundary Workgroup Meeting

Please note that this is not considered a formal Committee meeting, but will adhere to public meetings law to ensure public access. The meeting will primarily focus on gathering input from invited technical experts. Any Committee member or member of the public is welcome to join the call.

workgroup purpose

Led by the South Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve (SSNERR), this work group is tasked with supporting the development of a scientifically defensible, updated aquatic zone boundary for the estuary. The team will reconcile historical baseline datasets and draft a unified boundary methodology. Multiple iterative boundary map drafts will undergo technical reviews, field verification (as feasible), and targeted public outreach to systematically resolve spatial issues. The finalized deliverable provides implementation-ready GIS files, metadata, PDFs, and a detailed change log to seamlessly integrate into local workflows.
